Objectives
• To create awareness about the causes, dangers and destructive effects of wild forest fires

BackgroundAfter the devastating wild fires in 2007, it became apparent that a focused effort must be made to train the public about fires, the accompanying dangers and devastating effects as well as information on how public awareness can help to prevent wild fires. Wild fires are a common enemy of the timber industry and will have an impact on all participants in this market segment and other business related companies. The involved parties in this campaign have in the previous years done their own internal fire awareness campaigns. 2008 brands the year that a combined effort will be made by these industry leaders to promote fire awareness among the public.
