LEFPA operates with four distinct membership categories to ensure diverse representation and effective wildfire management:

1. Agriculture
2. Conservation
3. Forestry/Processing
4. Municipal/Residential

Each category elects representatives every three years, who then serve on the LEFPA Board alongside the Fire Protection Officer. The Board is responsible for electing key leadership roles, including the Chairman, Vice-Chair, and Secretary, and may co-opt additional members if needed.

The current term of office commenced following the AGM on 23 June 2022 and will continue until the AGM in 2025, ensuring stability and strategic direction in fire protection efforts.
